Armenia formed Armcosmos, a closed joint-stock company of the Ministry for Transportation and Communications, last year and wants the company to launch a national satellite, NEWS.am reports.
Armenian Minister for Transportation and Communications G. Grigoryan filed an application for an orbital position to the International Telecommunication Union.
After receiving a positive response from the union, Armenia will start searching for organizations to build the satellite and searching for financing.
