Uzbekistan has become the ninth member of the CIS free trade zone established by Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan and Ukraine on October 18, 2011.
Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan have not joined the zone. Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have not ratified the membership.
Uzbekistan signed the membership agreement in Minsk today. The free trade zone will benefit the process of integrating in norms of the WTO.
