State of emergency declared in Kyrgyz region

A state of emergency was declared today in the Dzheti-Oguzsky district of the Issyk-Kulsky Region of Kyrgyzstan. The corresponding document was signed by the country's President Almazbek Atambayev.

 

Local residents have started an uprising, they have already blockaded roads and the offices of administrative bodies.

 

The state of emergency will last until June 10th.
