The candidature of Matthew Braiza for the post of US Ambassador to Azerbaijan will be put to the vote on August the 3rd in the Foreign Relations USA Senate Committee, Trend reports.
Previously, Armenian media reported that Matthew Braiza was not on the list of ambassadorial candidates. The post of US ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan has been vacant for more than a year.
Matthew Braiza's candidature, proposed by Barack Obama, was supported by members of congress Solomon Ortiz, Michael McMahon, Michael Conaway, Bill Shuster, Sue Myrick,and Shelley Moore Capito.
