Russian President Vladimir Putin has dismissed Major-General Jaudat Akhmetkhanov, Police Chief of Karachay-Cherkessia, without stating a reason.
The official started working for the police in Kazan in 1988 as a patrol officer. He was promoted from Deputy Chief of Criminal Police of Tatarstan to Chief of Police of Karachay-Cherkessia in 2010.
