Russian President Vladimir Putin accepted today the recently-announced resignation of Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin. Putin also appointed Sobyanin as the Acting Mayor of the Russian capital city.
The first direct elections for the mayor of Moscow in ten years are now expected to be held in September 2013.
