Azerbaijan and OECD sign memorandum of understanding

 

Azerbaijan and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) have signed a memorandum of understanding, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister for Taxes Sakhib Alekperov has announced at a seminar on audit of transnational enterprises in Baku.

Azerbaijan and the OECD have been cooperating for two years.

Ubaldo Gonzales of the OECD noted that the organization was satisfied with activeness of Azerbaijan. He noted that Azerbaijan was the first non-member of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) to reach such intense cooperation level.

The seminar in Baku was organized by the Azerbaijani Ministry for Taxes and the OECD. It is attended by members of the OECD secretariat, experts from Netherlands, Sweden, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, Belarus and Ukraine. They will discuss taxes and cooperation between tax offices of the countries.
