We are not against the Russians on the Golan Heights, they just have to work - Israel

The deputy head of the Interior Ministry of Israel Faina Kirshenbaum, being on a visit to Moscow, said that Israel would not prevent the deployment of the Russian peacekeeping mission on the Golan Heights. "We have heard that some countries have decided to withdraw its peacekeepers because (they) were injured. We are very sorry, but there was an agreement that the forces will remain there. If President Putin decided to introduce the Russian forces, then I do not think Israel will resist . We always want someone to be there to really monitor the situation”, Kirschenbaum said.

"We want all the forces that can take over the responsibility to come there. These may be the Russians, the Austrians, the Australians. We absolutely do not care", RIA Novosti quoted her.

In her words, now only one thing is important for Israel: the peacemakers, wherever they may be, are not holed up in bunkers and do their job. "Therefore, we would like to get the forces that will be actively involved in it, at least in respect of peace and quiet between us”, she added.
