Putin elected leader of All-Russian People's Front

Russian President Vladimir Putin was elected as the leader of the All-Russian People’s Front during its official founding congress held on Wednesday, RIA Novosti reports.

In his speech at the congress, Vladimir Putin thanked all members of the body for their support, confidence and backing during last year’s election campaign.

Putin also expressed hope that the new political movement will become a permanent institution and a place where people of opposite views can gather to discuss problems and find appropriate ways of solving them.
