The Kazakh parliament has ratified amendments to the treaty on friendship, cooperation and mutual understanding of Kazakhstan and Russia. A protocol extends the spheres of cooperation in preventing illegal migration, human trafficking and improves cooperation in information security, News Azerbaijan.
Amendments to article 40 of the document allows the treaty to be prolonged for the next decades, unless its signers change their mind.
Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev will sign the amendments.
