The US intends to deploy some elements of its missile defense system in southern Europe, Interfax informs, citing the ‘Washington Post’.
According to the paper's source, the US is ready to sign treaties on radar system deployment with Bulgaria and Turkey. The USA also hopes to find a base for its defense system in one of the Arabian countries of Persian Gulf, as well as possibly Israel and the territories of the Palestinian National Authority.
