Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan sign strategic partnership agreement

 

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev signed an agreement on strategic partnership in Uzbekistan to cooperate in politics, trade, transportation, energy, ecology, culture and the military field.

The sides will not use violence or threats in interstate relations, will not join military alliances, sign agreements with third states violating sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.

The document confirms common position of the two states in exploitation of water resources in Central Asia, hydro energy, construction of dams, according to the international law.
