Russian reporter Arkady Babchenko, detained at Istanbul's Taksim Square for unauthorized filming, has been freed, Russian Consul General in the city Nikolay Kuzovenko says.
The Russian diplomat underlined that the Turkish authorities agreed not to bring charges against Babchenko.
The reporter says he has been beaten severely.
