London Mayor Boris Johnson says in a letter that the only peaceful solution for Syria is cease-fire. He emphasized that the conflict turned into a religious war and should not be aggravated by sales of weapons to Syria, The Daily Telegraph reports.
The mayor added that Russia, US, EU, Iran, Saudi Arabia and all international subjects should form an intergovernmental conference to stop the conflict.
Johnson’s letter was published after criticism against the idea of Prime Minister David Cameron and US President Barack Obama to supply Syrian opposition with weapons.
