The Azerbaijani Presidential Center for Strategic Studies and the Conrad Adenauer Foundation organized a conference on cooperation in the Caspian Region in Baku.
Director of the center Farhad Mamedov emphasized that the Caspian Region was of strategic importance for Azerbaijan and noted that Azerbaijan was realizing projects in the area according to national interests and interests of other Caspian states.
Janan Atilgan, director of the regional program of the Conrad Adenauer Foundation, said that expansion of ties between think-tank centers was one of the main goals of the meeting. She emphasized that the conference will help find paths for cooperation.
Atilgan described the foundation’s developments in South Caucasus and noted that the EU should be more active in development of the region.
