The Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Region are having a meeting at the Dorukh-Daron Training Center of the Tajik Defense Ministry in the Sogdi Region on June 17-21 to discuss joint counter-terrorism operations, as stated by spokesman of the CSTO Vladimir Zaynetdinov.
The drills are held according to the plan for 2013, supervised by Lieutenant-General Alexander Studenikin, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff. Over 60 soldiers are taking part in the drills to plan counter-terrorism operations in bordering districts with a possible scenario of security threats caused by withdrawal of ISAF forces from Afghanistan.
