Turkish authorities to take social networks under control

 

Deputy head of the Justice and Development Party of Turkey Huseyin Celik said that the authorities plan to start regulating social networks and form a list of websiteslike the one in EU states, RIA Novosti reports.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that social networks were playing a big part in the protests around the Gezi Park. Turkish Interior Minister Muammer Guler said yesterday that the government wanted to develop regulations for social networks to prevent false information.
