Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev today signed document confirming Vladimir Yakunin's resignation as the president of the Russian Railways public corporation.
According to reports, Yakunin wanted to resign himself. Today he is expected to meet with President Vladimir Putin, the RBC TV channel reports.
The resignation followed a recent row involving Yakunin. According to Russian media, he owns a rural estate costing some 75 million dollars, which Yakunin obviously cannot afford on his moderate income.
