EU Chief Diplomat Catherine Ashton visited Gaza yesterday and had talks with Hamas, RIA Novosti reports.
She urged the border of the Gaza Sector to be opened for the sake of children. Ashton promised financial and political support for the UN Middle Eastern Agency for Refugees.
The EU diplomat wants Hamas to be removed from the list of terrorist organizations, because it protects people and promotes democracy.
