Spokeswoman of the US National Security Council Caitlin Hayden said that Russia must extradite Edward Snowden, RIA Novosti reports.
She emphasized that Russia and the US were cooperating actively in the Boston Marathon blast case.
Spokesman of the US State Department Patrick Ventrell demanded extradition of Snowden.
Russian President Vladimir Putin clarified that Snowden did not cross the border. Moreover, Russia has no extradition agreement with the US. The transit passenger Snowden had the right to purchase a ticket and move anywhere else, Putin said.
