Israel's Lieberman thanks Georgia

Georgian Premier Bidzina Ivanishvili has ended his visit to Israel. At the end of the visit, he met the leader of the parliamentary opposition of Israel Sheli Yahimovic (Avoda) and the chairman of the commission on foreign affairs and defense, the leader of the party Our Home – Israel Avigdor Lieberman.

The meeting between Ivanishvili and Lieberman was especially important because the commission which is headed by him decides whether Israel will sell its armaments or not, and Israeli observers pay attention to it. But it wasn’t the only important thing about the meeting.

Ivanishvili is aware that Lieberman can return to the position of the foreign minister. Moreover, behind the scenes, Lieberman is called the most likely candidate for the position of the next premier of the country. So establishing friendly relations with Lieberman by Ivanishvili was a foundation for the future stages of the development of Israeli-Georgian relations.
