The parliament of Dagestan will change the order of the early termination of powers of the head of Makhachkala. This proposal is contained in the proposals of the State Council of Makhachkala. At this meeting it was decided to extend the list of reasons why the authority of the mayor can be terminated. The new condition may be the loss of confidence of the president of Russia.

The draft of appropriate amendments will be considered at the next session of the City Council after a public hearing and publication of the draft in the media, RIA Novosti reported.

"In accordance with the new amendments, now the powers of the head of the city can be terminated due to the loss of confidence of the president of the Russian Federation, including in the event of non-compliance of the ban established by the federal law by the mayor of Makhachkala, his wife and minor children “On the prohibition for certain categories of persons to open and have accounts in foreign banks”, the document says.

Makhachkala Mayor Said Amirov was arrested on June 1 on suspicion of the murder of investigator Arsene Gadzhibekov. The court decided to suspend him from office. The "United Russia” party stated that this question can be raised if the investigation of his case is not completed by November.
