Kyrgyzstan denounces agreement with U.S. on Manas airbase

Today the President of Kyrgyzstan, Almazbek Atambayev, signed a law denouncing the agreement with the U.S. on the Manas air base.

"According to the law, the agreements will be denounced on July 11, 2014, and the Foreign Ministry is instructed to notify the Government of the United States in due course of the denunciation of the agreement," gazeta.ru quotes a message on the website of the president.

The law will come into force from the date of publication.

As VK previously reported, the bill on denunciation of the agreement with the United States was approved by the parliament of Kyrgyzstan last week.
