Military-technical cooperation between Russia and Armenia has reached a new level, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolay Patrushev said in Yerevan this week, News-Armenia reported. "Russia and Armenia have a strategic relationship, and this is the highest level of relations," Patrushev said after signing a number of bilateral documents."We have set ourselves the task that those agencies that provide security in a particular direction should cooperate actively and effectively, and for this we must have an appropriate regulatory framework. Actually, we are doing this in particular. I think that all of this confirms our desire to make cooperation more effective," he added. The Russian Security Council Secretary also said that the Armenian and Russian agencies operating in the field of security are working on a planned basis and the current plan comes to an end in 2013. "In this regard, the preparation of the plan for the next period of 2014-2015 years on the issues interesting to both sides has already begun," Patrushev said.
