The Minsk group of the OSCE is satisfied with its meetings on Karabakh


Representatives of the Minsk group of the OSCE on the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, speaking of the results of meetings with the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia, noted with satisfaction the commitment of the sides to achieving a peace settlement within the framework of the Madrid principles. "Trend" reports that this was stated in an official press-release by the organisation. The Minsk Group representatives - Russian ambassador Yuri Merzlyakov, Bernard Fasier of France and US ambassador Robert Bradke - were on a visit to Yerevan and Nagorno-Karabakh from March 26th - 29th.

In Yerevan on March 28th the representatives met with President Serge Sargsyan and Armenian Foreign Minister Eduard Albandyan for further discussions of the Armenian proposals on the basic principles of a peace settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The representatives also held a series of bilateral meetings in Yerevan.
