Shirukhan Gajimuradov, acting Transportation Minister of Dagestan and 1998 candidate for Makhachkala Mayor with Sayid Amirov in 1998, has become the Deputy Mayor of Makhachkala, RIA Dagestan reports.
Gajimuradov was born in Mekhelta in the Gumbetovsky District of Dagestan in 1955. He graduated at the Moscow Institute of Road Traffic in 1978. He was the deputy head of the directorate and deputy director of the department for state policy for road economy, car and city passenger transportation of the Russian Transportation Ministry in 2003-2009. Dagestani acting President Ramazan Abdulatipov appointed him as the Transportation Minister in February 2013.
