A police helper is suspected of firing at a car containing an adviser of the Permanent Representatives of Dagestan

A participant of a voluntary patrol, Arthur Zakarian, is suspected of firing at a car containing an adviser to the Permanent Representative of Dagestan under the Russian President.

As Vestnik Kavkaza previously reported, on Sunday night, in the village of Khadzhalmakhi in the Levashinsky region of Dagestan, unidentified assailants fired at a car in which there was an adviser to the Permanent Representative of Dagestan under the Russian President, an employee of  Rosselkhoznadzor and of RusHydro, who received a gunshot wound to the head.

The gunman turned out to be a local resident. He started shooting after the driver and passengers refused to present documents for inspection, "Interfax" reports, referring to a representative of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan.

The man has been detained. Investigative activities are being conducted into his case.
