Iranian bazaar included in UNESCO World Heritage list

The bazaar of Tabriz, an architectural complex situated in the North-Western part of Iran, was included into the UNESCO World Heritage list.

This is the first time in UN history that a bazaar has been placed on the list. The bazaar, which was first mentioned in the 13th century, is still operating today.
