Georgian Speaker of Parliament David Usupashvili said at the OSCE PA in Istanbul that Russia must not be allowed to block restoration of the OSCE mission in Georgia and reminded that the problem had been discussed the issue with president of the OSCE PA, his representatives in South Caucasus, delegations of the UK and Germany.
The speaker believes that security could be improved by arrival of peacekeepers under the auspices of the OSCE.
The final declaration of the OSCE PA will contain points on restoration of the mission and boost reintegration processes.
Russia protested against the OSCE mission in 2008, resulting in scrapping of the mission.
