Andro Barnov, head of the Georgian Presidential Administration, said that the presidential polls set for October 31 were shifted to October 27, 2013.
The polls were set for October 27 by President Mikheil Saakashvili, his press secretary Manana Mandzhgaladze said. Saakashvili said that Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili demonstrated poor knowledge of the law by setting the elections on October 31.
Saakashvili said on July 3 that the date of elections was unimportant.
