Georgian opposition party accused of illegal donations

 

Zurab Aznaurashvili, head of the financial monitoring service of Georgian parties, said today that the United National Movement of President Mikheil Saakashvili had been receiving illegal donations, Trend reports.

The party received about $3.2 million of donations illegally. 21,837 people were hired in 2012 to agitate for the party.

According to the amnesty act passed by the parliament on December 19, 2012, a report on the violations will be sent to prosecutors for further studies.
