Russian president approves legal amendments concerning Olympics in Sochi

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed a law on amendments to legal acts due to the organization and holding of the 22nd Winter Olympic Games and 11th Paralympic Winter Games in 2014 in Sochi and the development of Sochi as a mountain resort, ITAR-TASS reports, citing the press-service of the Kremlin.


The law involves the legal management of tax, land and other relations concerning the organization and holding of Olympic and Paralympic games.


The federal law determines the specifics of tourism, marketing, information, labor and other activities in organizing and holding the games.


Amendments will be introduced to the Tax Code of Russia as well.
