US president may cancel visit to Russia over Snowden

US President Barack Obama will not visit Russia as long as ex-agent of the CIA Edward Snowden remains at the Sheremetyevo Airport in Moscow and may be replaced by Vice President Joe Biden instead, Kommersant reports.

Dmitry Peskov, spokesman of Russian President Vladimir Putin, emphasized that the Kremlin was unaware of the “ultimatum”.

Alexey Pushkov, head of the Russian parliamentary committee for foreign affairs, said that, regardless of whether the information was true or not, the “conditions of the ultimatum” would be fulfilled anyway.
