Russia and the EU say South Caucasus situation improving

Russia and the European Union have said that the situation in the South Caucasus has improved since the August 2008 campaign between Russia and Georgia over South Ossetia, ITAR-TASS cites Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Grigory Karasin as saying.

"For the last two years the situation in the Caucasus has been improving and now it's much more stable than before", he said.
