Georgia invites international observers to monitor presidential elections

Georgia has invited representatives of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), the Council of Europe, Nato and the association of Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova (GUAM) to monitor the coming presidential elections, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani says.

"We sent official invitations to all major international bodies as soon as we learnt about the exact date of the elections," he said.
