Trial of Georgian ex-minister for justice starts

Trial of Georgian ex-Minister for Justice Zurab Adeishvili has started today. The official was charged for tortures at Georgian prisons and left the country on October 1, after the parliamentary polls.

The ex-minister is suspected of excess of power, humiliation and falsification of evidence. A video of two officers bearing a convict serves as evidence of his guilt. Adeishvili is also suspected of planning to make the Kartu Bank go bankrupt.
