Georgia to chair BSEC Parliamentary Assembly

Georgia will chair the BSEC Parliamentary Assembly. This decision was taken at the BSEC General Assembly on Thursday.

The 41st two-day assembly was held in Sofia. According to the rotation principle, Georgia assumed the presidency for six months.

Chairman of the Georgian delegation David Saganelidze delivered a speech at today's meeting. He was elected vice-president of the General Assembly, Trend reports.

Saganelidze briefed members of the Assembly with a letter from the Georgian Parliament speaker David Usupashvili and expressed hope that the BSEC members will continue supporting Georgia's European integration.

The next session of the General Assembly will take place in Georgia in December.
