The Prime Minister of the Government of Georgia, Bidzina Ivanishvili, said today that the presidential candidate of the "Georgian Dream" coalition, Georgiy Margvelashvily, intends shortly to leave the post of Minister of Education and Science of Georgia. Ivanishvili said that the law does not oblige him to do so, but Margvelashvily decided to leave his post.
The Prime Minister explained that this is being done in order to completely eliminate the possibility of using state resources in the upcoming elections. "All presidential candidates will have equal rights and state resources in any case will not be used," the prime minister said.
