The next session of the Russian-Kazakh border demarcation commission will be held in September 2010 in Moscow, RIA Novosti reports, citing the Department of Information and Press of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The previous session was held in late July in Alma-Ata. The sessions are held according to the agreement signed between Russia and Kazakhstan in January 2005.
The 7,500 km long Russian-Kazakh border is the world’s longest land border. There has been no real border between the two countries because they were part of a single state in Soviet times.
