Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan believes that protests against high transportation prices in Yerevan were organized for social solidarity and justice, News Armenia reports.
He noted that they had no relation to political parties. The problem of rising prices for public transportation was the central topic for the government, the official added. Sargsyan said that any decisions concerning public interests will be discussed with public structures.
Yerevan Mayor Taron Markaryan will make a speech about the protests today, Vice Mayor Kamo Areyan said. The mayor met officials of public organizations and meets the Council of the Elders.
