Israel to return half of Turkish ‘Freedom Flotilla’

Israel will return 3 of the 6 Turkish vessels that tried to break the Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip in May 2010, which are currently anchored in Israeli ports, RIA Novosti reports, citing the US agency JTA.
This morning three Turkish tug boats arrived at the Israeli coast.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry said in a message to the Turkish authorities that it hopes that the Turkish vessels will not attempt to break the blockade of Gaza in future.
The ‘Freedom Flotilla’, carrying humanitarian cargo and a human rights activist delegation, was captured by Israeli naval forces in the Mediterranean on the night of 30-31 May. 9 Turkish crew members were killed and dozens of people were injured, hundreds were arrested and then deported. 7 Israeli commandos were also injured by the crew of the ‘Freedom Flotilla’.
