The farmers of Karachay-Cherkessia have harvested 134,000 tons of grain, exceeding the previous year’s harvest by 40,000 tons, RIA Novosti reports, citing the press-service of the president of the republic.
44,000 out of 50,000 ha had been covered. The yield is 30-35 dt/ha. This figure should rise to 40 by the end of the harvest season and up to 50 in some parts of the republic. Last year the yield was 28 dt/ha.
