Tengiz Gunava, Governor of the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Region of Georgia, left prison N9 last night, pardoned by President Mikheil Saakashvili.
Gunava was sentenced on July 12 for illegal acquisition of gasoline worth $29,700, injuring his driver and excess of authority. He was also accused of storing weapons and narcotics, but no proof of that was found.
