UK wants bilateral talks with Iran

British Foreign Secretary William Hague said in a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi that the UK wanted to activate bilateral talks with Iran before the next UN session in New York, Trend reports.

The UK recognized elections of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

Iran reduced the level of diplomatic relations with the UK in November 2011 as a response for its sanctions. Six diplomats were detained at the British Embassy in Tehran.
