81.2% of people questioned by the Ryay Monitoring Center of Azerbaijan say that they will vote for President Ilham Aliyev at the upcoming elections, less than 2% for Isa Gambara (Musavat Party) and about 1% for Rustam Ibragimbekov (cinema script writer).
86.1% of people did not know about Ibragimbekov. 91.1% of people were unaware that a single candidate of opposition will have two years in office.
11.7% said they did not know about the National Council, 17.2% knew “something” about it. 74.2% of people questioned could not name any members of the National Council.
1% of people (1.5% in Baku, 0.8% in other areas of Azerbaijan) would vouch for Ibragimbekov as a candidate for president, 1.6% for Isa Gambara, 1.6% for Ali Kerimli.
The public polls were carried out on July 22-28, 2013. Over 1500 people aged 18 and over were questioned.
