Makhachkala ex-mayor to be re-examined

The Russian Federal Execution Service permitted re-examination of Makhachkala ex-Mayor Sayid Amirov within a week, ITAR-TASS cites his lawyer Mark Kruter.

The lawyer said that the ex-mayor should be put under home arrest due to poor health.

Amirov was detained on June 1 as a suspect of organizing the murder of Arsen Gajibekov, acting Chief of the Investigative Office of the Russian Investigative Committee of the Sovetsky District of Makhachkala, in December 2011. He will remain under detention until November 11.
