The first shipment of KamAZ vehicles has arrived in South Ossetia. The company has an agreement to ship 50 units of engineering, Interfax reports.
The department of car transport of South Ossetia and the committee of state supply of South Ossetia received 5 dump trucks on the KamAZ-65115 chassis and 3 KamAZ-6520 dump trucks, according to a message from the PR department of the car factory.
During the years of military conflict the truck depot of the Caucasian republic was almost totally destroyed. Fulfilling the contract will double the size of the cargo engineering truck depot.
The department of car transport of South Ossetia is the receiver of the vehicles. This organization will carry out further merchandising of the products. The sides have also planned restoration of the service base of the company in South Ossetia. The staff of KamAZ will train local specialists and drivers to properly exploit and maintain the modern engineering of KamAZ. The Caucasian partner will prepare the material basis for the future service center, the message says.
