A court in Turkey has refused to reconsider the case of the leader of the Kurdistan Workers' Party, Abdullah Öcalan, who has been sentenced to life in prison.
Öcalan's lawyers filed a request last week asking the court to free the Kurdish rebel leader.
Abdullah Öcalan was arrested in 1998 and sentenced to the death penalty, which was later changed to life imprisonment.
