Libyan deputy prime minister resigns

Deputy Prime Minister of Libya Avad al-Barasi is resigning over his conflict with the rest of the cabinet. The prime minister has already accepted al-Barasi's resignation.

"I cannot be a member of a cabinet that carries out inappropriate policies," al-Barasi is quoted as saying by Associated Press.

According to him, the government is incapable of maintaining security in the country and stopping violence against innocent people.
