Vestnik Kavkaza has learnt from Turkish diplomatic sources that a telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Prime Minister of the Government of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has been held today.
The conversation lasted 50 minutes, Putin and Erdogan discussed Russian-Turkish relations and the most pressing problems of the Middle East, including a new round of confrontation in Egypt and the prospects for a Syrian settlement. In particular, Erdogan said that the international community and the UN Security Council should take concrete steps regarding Syria.
